A great refuge for all of the different types of birds that migrate to Costa Rica from the North during winter time. Here you will find not just birds but also Crocodiles, Owls, Iguanas, Monkeys and much more. All this in a boat trip on the Tempisque River.

Palo Verde National Park is a good place for the fans of bird watching and wild fauna. This tour takes place on an easy boat trip, down the Tempisque River with a bilingual Guide. This river is fed by other very important rivers in the area. On the trip heading to the river we will find along the trees some Iguanas normally resting, while on the shoreline are the crocodiles warming in the sun. Many flying birds as well as across the river we may even see the famous “Jesus Christ Lizard” that runs on top of the water. All this is complemented with the scenic views that surround this big refuge.
